Position: Water Resources Engineer

This position will support ecological restoration design, stormwater management design, and watershed studies with engineering analysis.

Qualifications:

Required

  • B.S. or Technical Degree in Engineering or Environmental related discipline

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency performing hydraulic & hydrologic modeling

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with Chesapeake Bay Program Expert Panel Recommendations

  • Examples of work experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Rosgen Level IV Training

  • P.E. or E.I.T. License

  • Experience designing stream restoration projects

  • Familiarity with ArcPro

  • Proficiency with SWMM hydrologic modeling

Position Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for ecological restoration projects

  • Perform pollutant reduction calculations for stream restoration and stormwater management projects

  • Perform ArcGIS map production

  • Prepare technical reports

  • Assist with ecological restoration and stormwater management design

  • Assist with watershed field assessments and surveys
