Kelly is a rising junior at Virginia Tech studying Biological Systems Engineering with specific interests in environmental sustainability and renewable energy. While at Virginia Tech, Kelly has had the opportunity to participate in a range of research opportunities spanning from Biophysics, studying a model of how the brain sends internal signals; and within her major’s department, studying the effects microorganisms have on cow manure decomposition.

While fascinated by many topics, issues surrounding the environment have always interested her which is why she was drawn to Ecosystem Services. During her time at Ecosystem Services, she hopes to acquire knowledge of designing and creating long-term ecological restoration projects, and she is excited to become integrated within the team!
