James combines a scientist’s zeal for understanding the details of environmental processes with a long standing enthusiasm for all things nature-related. He has held a variety of environment-centric positions including wildland firefighting, park ranger, assistant park manager, and renewable energy construction. More recently, James completed a Master’s degree with a focus on the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (aka drones!) and desktop photogrammetry for the modeling of ecological processes. James is excited about the potential that UAVs have to support the science of ecological restoration, and he will be assisting with integrating UAVs into Ecosystem Services’ workflows.
