Old Stage Road Industrial Pad Site
Ecosystem Services was contracted by a local developer to provide environmental consulting services for a proposed 25-acre industrial pad in Chester, VA. Site access and pad layout were complex issues on this project because of overhead utilities and easements, railroad spurs and environmental constraints. ES in coordination with the site engineer were able to develop an alternative project layout that not only met our client’s needs, but also created the least environmentally-damaging alternative.
Using innovative approaches to the pad layout, stormwater management and permitting strategies allowed the project to move through the regulatory process quickly and cost-effectively. Services included a Waters of the U.S. delineation and confirmation, Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act Resource Protection Area (RPA) Designation, Section 401/404 Individual Permitting, regulatory coordination, cultural resource coordination and Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Consistency Certification permitting.
