Jon Roller

Jon is co-founder and the principal environmental scientist with more than 14 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.  His administration roles include managing the company’s finances, in addition to developing business development and marketing strategies.  He also serves as the firm’s principal environmental scientist, serving in a Team Facilitator and Project Manager capacity.  Although Jon’s role has been evolving over the years, he still enjoys getting into the field and working directly with clients.

Along with his industry knowledge, Jon’s love of the outdoors and agrarian background give him a unique perspective and concern for working landscapes. His core belief is that every project can achieve its intended purpose and coexist with the environment.  A recent example of this is the Mossy Creek Nutrient Bank project located in Augusta County.  Permitting the first stream restoration nutrient bank in the Commonwealth  put our our innovative limits to the test.  During the project, Jon was able to work with the client and an adjacent farmer to exclude livestock and create alternative watering systems for cattle.  Mossy Creek NB demonstrates how to create conservation and ecological restoration projects that work hand-in-hand with agriculture.
